Last week, we went to a reptile show in Indy and took home two female baby corn snakes. They are pretty awesome, except one of them isn’t eating. The other one has ate 3 or 4 times since we got them and is already growing quite a bit. I have decided to name them Ivy and Ariel.
Ivy.

She is the smaller one that isn’t eating. Several people have told us that this is kind of normal because she might be stressed out, and also some snakes don’t eat before they shed the first time. We are going to try to feed her again in a couple days.
And this is Ariel.

I never thought that I could get into snakes that much, but they are actually pretty interesting and fun to watch and hold. I like them!

Are you feeding live or frozen?
I’m not sure how you have them set up, but for the one who isn’t eating just keep her in a clear sterilite container with paper towel at the bottom, a water dish, and use a heat pad on only the one side.
If you don’t have anything for the little guy to hide in, stick half a kleenex box or something in there too.
It should help if you’re not doing that already.
