The Snakes

Yesterday Ivy died…she never did eat, don’t know why. She was just never that interested when we tried to feed her, and he tried every trick in the book. It makes me a little sad…it sucks. :-(

Ariel, on the other, hand is doing great. She eats healthy and is growing pretty fast.

And then there’s Dresden. He is a pretty cool and mellow snake.

I can tell they have both grown since we’ve had them. Ariel still gets scared a lot when we try to pick her up though. She doesn’t come out of her hides very much. I’m putting more pics of them on the flickr.

I haven’t done one of these in a while.

What do you often find yourself thinking about?
Everything. Things going on in my life mostly.

Who is the most important person to you, and why?
I’m going to have to go with myself on this one. I think each individual person should always hold themselves as the most important person to them. Other than that, I’d say the people who choose to stick by me through the good and bad and truly care about me. I can’t really pick just one person, nut I’m sure they already know who they are.

Is there anything you wish you could tell someone but can’t?

Tons

What is your mood most often?
Content

What are your most wanted desires or dreams?
I just want to live my life to the fullest, and I’d like to inspire and help people along the way.

What do you do when you’re extremely angry?
I rant in my head for a while, then I write about it, or listen to angry music.

Do you think you can completely trust anyone?
Yes. Not very many people, but it’s not impossible for someone to be completely trustworthy.

What do you think of love and heartbreak?
It’s hard, but it’s a part of life you have to learn to deal with. It makesĀ  a stronger person emotionally.

Do you look up to any celebrity? If so, why?
I used to but not so much anyone.

Do you think the world is changing for the better or worst?
A little bit of both.

Do you need a boyfriend/girlfriend to be truly happy?
No. You “need” food and shelter, but of course having a boyfriend makes me happy.

If you knew you were to die in a month, what would you do with your time?
Spend it with family as much as possible, quit work, travel some more, go out to eat at nice restaurants all the time, do whatever I want.

Do you think you make the best choices most of the time?
Most of the time, but not always.

Do you really say everything you want to all of the time?
No, I hold some of it in if I don’t want to cause problems, or if I can’t think of a constructive way to put it.

What is the one thing you want most out of life?
Happiness.

If you’re crying, what’s most likely the reason?
I mostly cry out of frustration, not sadness.

Do you think you need to have friends?
I prefer to have friends and people who are supportive of me.

Are you afraid of divorce?
Not really. I will just be careful of who I marry.

What animal do you most relate to and why?
Cats. Fickle, stubborn, sweet and friendly, can be bitchy when provoked, like both company and alone time.

Making Peace With “The Girls”

It’s been a good while since I’ve been a dedicated reader of Seventeen Magazine, but I decided to pick up the October issue. In the health section, page 102, author and self esteem expert Jess Weiner takes a minute to make a note about an email she received from a young woman, as part of the Seventeen’s Body Peace Project, (which I love). The girl wrote in about how she happened to be watching an adult film with her boyfriend and his friends, and they kept ogling about how hot all the fake boobs on screen were, and she started to doubt that her own breast size is big enough to be attractive to her boyfriend. Jess went on to reply to the girl. ” Instead of feeling like your breasts exist solely for everyone else to approve of, it’s important to remember that they’re your breasts, and the only one who needs to think they’re the right size is you.” And in a PS. note she states, “Guys do pay attention to the size of your breasts, but I swear they like them at any size.”

I have found that statement to be very true. I have seen a lot of men slobbering over big, fake breasts, but that doesn’t mean they don’t like smaller ones too. Actually, most of the men I know that I have heard input from much rather prefer to be with a woman who has natural breasts, even if they are smaller in size, than a big breasted woman who’s had implants. And I actually know lots of men who are turned off by fake boobs as well. You are probably thinking, “Yeah, we know. Small boobs are good too. Love your boobs.” But actually, a lot of women are still struggling with issues about the size of their breasts. I personally see it all the time, on forums I post on and in real life: friends and acquaintances expressing unhappiness with their breasts and contemplating getting breast augmentation, but the truth is, most men are satisfied with breasts of any size. They just love boobs, period. And if there is such a jerk out there who tells you that you would be more attractive with bigger boobs, then he obviously could use a bigger brain.

Life’s Awkward Moments

Don’t you just love those awkward moments that you experience from time to time? We all have had them. Most of us have experienced at least some of the following ones, and these are my favorite.

1. Going to the bathroom and not having any toilet paper nor anyone one to lend any tissue.

2. For the women, when your bra unclasps in public for no apparent reason.

3. Parking on the wrong side of the gas station, then turning the car around to realize you are still on the wrong side.

4. When the toilet overflows in a home that’s not yours.

5. Sitting next to someone you find attractive while watching a sex scene in a movie.

6. Watching a sex scene from a movie with your parents.

7. Walking in on someone in the bathroom.

8. Going to grab the last item on the shelf, then someone else gets it before you.

9. Forgetting someone’s name.

10. Calling someone by the wrong name.

11. Surprise emails with explicit content, on a public computer with people around.

12. Going to pay and realize you forgot your money.

13. Getting caught staring at someone.

14. When both your debit and credit card are declined.

15. When you are talking trash about someone and they happen to be standing behind you.

16. When you see someone waving in your direction, and then you wave back, only to realize they were waving at the person behind you.

17. When you think someone is talking to you and you respond to them, only to find out they are talking on the phone.

18. When you’re eating and someone is trying to talk to you, and it takes forever for you to chew the rest of your food.

19. When you walk out of a store and can’t remember where you parked, so you go wandering around the parking lot until you see your car.

20. Seeing someone you knew from a long time ago and start referring to all the good ole days, and they don’t remember you at all.

21. Seeing someone at a distance that you know, you wave and say “Hey!” then as they come closer in your direction while giving you a confused look, you realize it’s not the person you thought it was.

22. When you call in “sick” to work and your boss catches you at the movies later that day.
