Facebook Timeline is great. People are always so scared of changes, but then always adapt to them. Timeline organizes things and just feels more clean and up to date. And the Cover Photo is a great way to personalize your page.

Twitter changed their design by basically switching every from left to right. I thought it sucked because you automatically read left to right. Now I don't even notice it.

Facebook isn't going anywhere for a while. What competition is there? Google + has already failed and desperately trying to get users.

---Great Tips, Ashley.

Thank you for making women aware of domestic abuse.

It comes in all forms.

We must NEVER be SILENT about it. NEVER.

I have a few friends who have been in potentially abusive relationships, but because some of the signs mentioned on your post were displayed in those men, they left before it could even get uglier. At the same time, I've also known some women who are already in abusive relationships but seem to can't get out of it, usually due to the kids being involved or financial reasons. It's just really sad.

So women really need to get out before it's too late. You don't want to be completely dependent on the man who doesn't respect you.

“Do we really have a right to complain when these sites are still free? Running ads are what keeps it all free for us.”

Just as a counterpoint to folks who make these claims -- You know what makes advertisers spend revenue on these sites? The fact that there are users to view the ads. Particularly, both of these sites make money by selling my demographic and viewing data (not personally identifiable, at least I'm told, but still) and showing me targeted ads.

While I don't think this means users have unlimited justification to complain or that either service can or should get rid of ads entirely, I do think it means that it's smart practice for both of them to show ads in ways that work for their users.
